House backgrounds

Three of the houses mentioned in my Rebellion of the eighth fanfiction you are original creations of mine.  These three are House Ruesyn, House Bersyn, and House Rien.

House Rien inhabit some mountains north of the Eyre.  They hold the titles of Lords of Heldstrong and Lords of The Hills.  The second title is a reference to the fact that they were originally the largest an most powerful of the hill tribes.

House Ruesyn are a now extinct house that fell during the Rebellion of the Eighth.  Their land is now ruled by House Piuryf.  Their Castle was known as Legacy, and its lands Hurricane.

House Piuryf is a junior branch of House Baratheon.  It started out brutally repressing their people, until Ælfryd the Warg, a legitimised bastard took the reigns, having converted to the Old Gods.  House Piuryf now sees a lot more kinship, despite being andals with house Ruesyn than Baratheon, having adopted the culture of pre-rebellion Hurricane.  They are often refered to as the "Lords of the Second Men", given the fact that the area is racially andal, even though it's culture is that of the first men.  The sigil of house Piuryf is a moose.

House Bersyn are lords of the south bank.  This house rules everything in the crownlands south of blackwater bay and the blackwater rush.  They were originally wildlings that helped Ægon I in his conquest.  They have banned the construction of any and all septs in the south bank.  Even Mæsters find it hard to enter, as their connection to oldtown are grounds of suspicion as far as house Bersyn is concerned.
